Braving the Brokenness    Set your soul free through the power of your story

Why do good Christians struggle with depression, fear, and anxiety? Why is shame so alive and active in our lives? Why are so many people feeling disconnected, discouraged, and unproductive? Why are healthy, intimate relationships so difficult to find? How can we discover the abundant life that Jesus talks about when we have so little joy and so much disappointment? Where have we gone wrong?

In her book, Braving the Brokenness, Nicole invites us to face the pain and disappointment of a life we never imagined we’d be living. Life is hard. Toxic thoughts run deep, questions remain buried, and all of hell screams loud: You are not enough. Shame needs no invitation. Running from the pain only makes us tired. Facing our fears head on, naming our broken places, and asking God to reveal our faulty coping skills, our sin, and those relational patterns that were supposed to protect us takes great courage. But you were made for more. You can do hard things. Heaven waits to be heard. There is another way to live. You were made to live brave!

The journey to wholeness is less about the situation we may find ourselves in, and more about naming the faulty beliefs, our responses to pain, and choosing to create new mindsets and rhythms to our lives that will lead us to experience the deep revelation of the goodness of God in the midst of a life we never imagined!

Braving the Brokenness, A Guided Journal Experience

Tell your story to unlock your healing and live wholeheartedly

We all long to be loved, known, and valued.

Really seen.

Truly loved.

Deeply valued.

In our fast-paced culture of outward perfection and instant gratification it can be challenging to cultivate vulnerable and rich relationships. Shame often leads us to places of isolation, perfectionism, or other negative coping strategies. We rarely have time to just sit and listen to one another. Really listen. Really share. It just seems so scary, and hard, to tell the truth sometimes! But what if you would dare to share your story (the hard ones and the joy-filled ones) and offer others a safe place to share their stories of struggle, joy, fear, and freedom too? What if you decided your past was not meant to define your future? What if talking honestly about your story could open the door to truth and deeper intimacy with your friends and God? No matter where you are at in your faith journey, there is always more! God wants to use your story. God wants to see each woman, daughter, father and son, set free.

This guided journal experience will lead you and a few friends through 12 powerful, personal stories. Stories of shame, loss, hope, healing, and purpose to name a few! Mirroring the chapters in the book, Braving the Brokenness, these shared stories will usher in the opportunity for real growth, deeper friendships, and personal transformation. Now is NOT the time to stay hidden, silenced by shame, and locked in a prison of fear. God wants to help you, and your friends, rewrite your story in truth! We need each other. Who will you invite?
